MAINTENANCE

Active Balancing Systems require certain level of service, maintenance and repair in order to operate properly. Michigan Balancing offers three levels of service contracts.

LEVEL 1

 

Annual service scheduled at least 3 weeks in advance. All the tasks listed below will be performed:

 

  • Perform operational check of system while machine is running to identify any problems

  • Inspect system for physical damage

  • Check balancer/coil radial air gap and axial alignment

  • Perform tests and inspections to ensure all components are functioning correctly

  • Test sensors functionality

  • Test coil to ensure it’s receiving power (“thump” test)

  • Measure coil resistances and check for shorts

  • Check PWM amplifier for faults

  • Check controller power fuse

  • Perform electrical checks of cables (continuity, shorts, etc.)

  • Inspect coil connector block for fluid ingress, corrosion, etc.; clean, dry, re-seal

  • Check vibration transducer for proper mounting & operation.

  • Check transducer and cable for physical damage

 

System functionality is demonstrated at completion of service. Any potential problems are reported to customer with a recommended repair plan, including cost and time estimates.

LEVEL 2

 

In addition to Level 1, Level 2 offers the following:

 

  • Bi-annual service calls

  • Response to unscheduled service requests within 72 hours

  • Guarantee that hardware will be repaired and returned within 30 days.

 

 

LEVEL 3

 

In addition to Level 2, Level 3 offers the following:

 

  • Response to unscheduled service requests within 24 hours

  • Guarantee that hardware will be repaired and returned within 15 days.
